2025 Estimate

Why is this measure important?

Appropriate funding ensures the delivery of diverse, accessible cultural programming that reflects and supports Brampton’s vibrant and growing arts community.

What progress are we making?

We are increasing investment in arts and culture to strengthen community connection, cultural expression, and access to creative opportunities. Funding directed to arts and culture programs has grown from $518,008 in 2024 to $646,244 in 2025, supporting 51 community-led projects delivered by local charitable and non-profit organizations. This upward trend reflects the City’s commitment to expanding culturally diverse programming and supporting local artists and organizations.

In 2026, funding is projected to rise further with the introduction of the Arts and Culture Space Improvement Stream, which will enhance creative spaces across the city and enable even more residents to participate in cultural activities. Together, these investments help build a more vibrant, inclusive, and connected Brampton.

How is this measured?

Funding disbursed under the Arts and Culture and Creative Space Improvement (new for 2025) priority areas of the Advance Brampton Fund.
