Jobs Created, Supported, and Retained
Meeting Target
Why is this measure important?
Tracking jobs created, supported and retained highlights our success in attracting new businesses, supporting expansion, and ensuring job stability for residents. Job creation and retention are key indicators of a thriving local economy and the effectiveness of the City's economic development efforts.
What progress are we making?
Despite ongoing economic challenges such as high interest rates, trade uncertainties, and elevated unemployment levels, the Economic Development Office continues to make meaningful progress in strengthening Brampton’s workforce. The number of jobs created, supported, and retained demonstrates our ongoing efforts to attract new investment, assist existing businesses with expansion, and help maintain job stability for residents. While growth has been measured in the current climate, these results reflect the resilience of our local economy and the value of our continued support for businesses and workers alike.
