 Accessibility is a key priority for Brampton Transit, ensuring that all residents, regardless of ability, can safely and conveniently access public transportation. This measure reflects the City’s commitment to equity and mobility for all.

Year-over-year improvements show progress toward the goal of 100% accessibility, with annual capital programs continuing to upgrade infrastructure to meet this standard.

What progress are we making?

Brampton continues to improve access to transit, with 86% of bus stops accessible in 2024, increasing to 88% in 2025 and 89% projected in 2026. These year-over-year improvements reflect ongoing capital investments to upgrade transit infrastructure and remove barriers for riders of all abilities. While work remains to reach the 95% target, steady progress demonstrates the City’s commitment to safe, inclusive, and accessible mobility for everyone.
