Why is this measure important?
The ‘State of Local Infrastructure’ is an overall assessment of the City's infrastructure assets and their investment needs. Understanding the condition of City assets supports informed decisions on investment, maintenance, and service continuity.
What progress are we making?
We have enhanced data collection which has expanded the State of Local Infrastructure (SOLI) report across more service areas, including stormwater in 2024, while supporting an increase in inspections to strengthen risk management.
How is this measured?
Asset condition ratings are assigned using an industry standard five-point scale based on various inputs including facility, pavement and bridge condition index, age and expected useful life, and expert opinion.
